We woke up early this morning to climb the water tower here at Sangam, only to find that it was raining! Because of this, we couldn't climb the tower so we went back to bed. Half an hour later, we had to get up again to go to breakfast. Today we had pancakes along t\with the usual toast, porridge and cereal. After that, we had patrol corner which involved introducing ourselves to each other and coming up with a patrol chant to perform. Next, we learnt about the new WAGGGs leadership mindsets which included working in our patrols to create a newspaper outfit without talking. We also learnt a little about the available volunteering opportunities and chose which place we would like to go to. Following this, we had lunch which consisted of some new curries and birthday cake for one of the volunteers in training. After lunch, we had half an hour to prepare for an afternoon of sari shopping. This was one of the things we were most looking forward to. Once we had bought saris, we ventured out into the markets which were full of bangles and all sorts of vegetables we didn't recognise. We ended the day with a meal in a restaurant and a very long and bumpy bus ride back to Sangam.
