Meeting For The First Time

We first met each other at the November meeting. On the Friday evening we played "Would I lie to you" as a way of getting to know each other, however this was not very effective as we could not remember which were lies and which were truths. We spent the rest of the night chatting in our bedroom and keeping the leaders awake with our constant laughter!

The next morning, we went outside, played team building games and attempted to build a fire for later that day. We all got together to come up with ideas for fundraising. By the end, sticky notes covered the walls. We did try and learn some basic Hindi, but the only thing we realistically remember is Namaste. We also listened to the Sangam song but to be honest, we do not remember it at all!

The campfire, unfortunately did not survive the rain so we made an executive decision to go inside to sing campfire songs. Before bed, we played another round of "Would I lie to you" and we can safely say it has become a favourite of ours.

On our last day together until March, we created our itinerary for our trip to India. Later that day, we did a presentation for our parents to explain what we would be doing on our trip away.

Overall, we got along really well and we are all looking forward to spending more time together.
