First Day of Community Project :)

Today we woke up early again to climb the water tower but AGAIN it was raining so it was cancelled. Luckily some of us had enough energy to do yoga whilst others just went back to bed. Some of our options were not available to us due to the national holiday caused by weather. Around half of us went to schools to play games and teach children and others discussed lesson plans with teacher for their students who were not there. One group went to deep griha and got split into working in the creche and doing craft with women. Holly made glasses out of pipe cleaners for one child and then every person there wanted them !!!! The students at Prigati medium school were not there so instead we taught the teachers how to teach the lesson plans we came up with for the kids. We also talked about the differences in schooling and a nice chat. The Indian scholarship society group put on plays for the children and played colour games with them. Surprisingly the children were clearly well educated because they caught on quickly and new a lot of the English words already. Overall we were shocked with some schools lack of equipment and facilities while some had a TV in every room.
